However, Jane's (Angie Harmon) assurance that nothing would change even if Maura's brain is permanently damaged seemed to sit well with the latter, so she decided to go through with the surgery. Her friends suggested surgery, but Maura was adamant. The usually alert and adept Maura that her friends know suddenly became forgetful and her friends could only watch as she struggled with subdural hematoma.
Maura can still feel the effects of the injury she sustained from Alice Sands (Annabeth Gish).
The upcoming episode of "Rizzoli & Isles" season 7 will have Maura (Sasha Alexander) heeding the advice of her friends and finally undergoing surgery to correct her brain injury. Maura finally undergoes surgery for her brain injury.
